Here is the channelled theme for September from insightful Lena Stevens and her ThePowerPath.com:
“The theme for September is REACTION-ACTION.”
“The main word we will use this month is triggered. People will be triggered this month by just about everything. There is an emotional component to the month potentially infusing hysteria and irrationality to some of what is being triggered.”
“Navigating through what is real in your experience today and what belongs to some deeply hidden (up till now) past wound will be the main work and challenge. As always, there is a tremendous opportunity to change and release the past that still triggers and runs you today.”
“We will be dealing a lot with fear and most of it has no reality base in present time. You will see that fear is almost always about the past or about the future, neither of which really exist. Reactions are usually fear-based and have no power. True action comes from the power of choice and decision.”
“The energy of the month is very yang and aggressive whether you are in the ‘reaction’ or in the ‘action’ part of it. The masculine quality provides an opportunity to practice right action and the positive aspects of the masculine, but reactivity may also show up as a negative aspect and something to be aware of, both in yourself and in others.”
“August’s theme of power continues in the background and insures that actions and reactions are powerful, forceful, sudden and explosive. This can be either a very good thing, or an intense challenge.”
“For some, this time will show up as a great open door of possibilities for right action, right work and tremendous movement and manifesting. For others, it will be a challenge just to stay in neutral gear and not become mired in a reactive place of fear.”
“What comes to mind is Thor’s Hammer. In Norse Mythology, Thor is a god associated with thunder. His Hammer is one of the most fearsome of weapons, capable of leveling mountains… Would be able to strike as firmly as he wanted, whatever his aim, and the hammer would never fail, and if he threw it at something, it would never miss and never fly so far from his hand that it would not find its way back, and when he wanted, it would be so small that it could be carried inside his tunic.”
“Thor’s hammer is descriptive of what we have this month. Either you will get hit with it or you will wield it. You decide. The image and symbolism of throwing the hammer is about taking deliberate and specific action.”
“Specific and deliberate action is not a reaction or an action taken out of reaction. It is a choice. If you are taking action from a place of ‘being left no choice’ you are acting out of reaction and there is no power in that.”
“When you wield Thor’s hammer and throw your intention, choice, and motivation into an action for yourself and your own personal future, you can’t miss. The force of this dynamic energy will carry you forward into manifesting your future in the way you consciously choose. Wielding Thor’s hammer is not an ambivalent act. You don’t sort of throw it. You put 100% behind your choice, decision and action.”
“On the other hand, if you find yourself flattened by Thor’s Hammer, it means you have become mired in the quicksand of fear and reactivity that has made you a target. You will likely find that at this time you are inflexible, blaming, attached, stubborn, martyred, angry, judgmental, self-deprecating, full of regret, or trying to fix something that is not in your control or yours to fix. This is the place of feeling powerless to act.”
“You got triggered by something or someone and did not stay neutral. If this happens, become neutral as quickly as possible, observe that you always have a choice, reflect on what action you choose to take in your life, and then do it. Use the image of having a ‘Thor’s Hammer’ as your own ability to choose, intend and take powerful action. This is it. Do it now.”
“When you get triggered by an event, a person, or an experience, your reaction is almost always connected to a core issue that has its roots in the past. When any event happens in your life, the experience of it has to filter down into the instinctive center where over time it becomes a core belief. All childhood traumas and experiences are processed in this way especially during formative years and times of core imprinting. Usually similar events are re created, as they are magnetized to the pattern solidifying its identity as a core belief.
“So when you react strongly to something, you are reacting to very old information that has nothing to do with the present. This month provides a huge opportunity to follow the threads of your reactions to their core and uncover the old fears and beliefs that have been running you your whole life. The task is to take action and throw that hammer at them, eliminating them for good.”
“As you take advantage of this time and go deeply into following the threads of your reactions to their core with the intention of eliminating those old beliefs and patterns, make sure you have something to replace them with. Nature abhors a vacuum and you want to be able to decide what goes into that vacuum of available space once it is cleared.”
“It is also very threatening to your personality and instinctive center to all of a sudden change everything. We always suggest doing this gradually. Remember the bid for power information about being ready and not taking on more than you can handle. It is OK to do this little by little and to get help. The most important thing is to pay attention to where and how you react.”
“Because of the emotional aspect of the month, you may experience mood swings in yourself and in others. One day up, the next down; one day pleased with your actions, the next day confused and despairing; one day happy with life and everyone in it, the next day angry and cynical.”
“Just remember that much of what is surfacing is not of the present. Don’t get stuck in feeling badly or trying to analyze as it probably will not make much sense. Movement is key. Change something, clean out a junk drawer, and throw away something old. Get up and move around, change your position, take a walk, go outside. Use your breath to release the charge behind your reaction…”
“When you react, immediately ask yourself, ‘What is the fear?’Then look to see if the fear is real in what is happening to you right at that moment. Chances are it is not. For example, if you get a letter from someone or something you identify as an authority (IRS, bank, creditor, court, lawyer, someone you owe something to….), you may react and that reaction may have fear under it. What is the fear? Follow the thread. Notice that the fear is not founded in any experience you are having right at the present moment where you may be cooking a nice meal or having a good conversation or enjoying a cup of tea or a good walk with your dog. These fears are always about something possible in the future that has not happened yet.”
“Always bring yourself back to the present, move the fear aside and focus instead on taking whatever action you need to take from your own choices and personal power. One of the hardest choices and action to take is to ask for help. Sometimes you need to ask for help. If you do ask, ask with the powerful intention of getting help and not with the belief that you won’t get it because you don’t deserve it or it has never been there for you and does not exist…”
“An excellent month to do some really deep personal work that may not be easy to face but very rewarding if you can get through it.”
“The work will be to pay attention to your reactions and to be responsible for them. In others words, it will be using your ability to respond neutrally to your reactions by following the threads back to the origins of your own fears with the intention of releasing them and choosing something different.”
“There may be times of extreme discomfort emotionally, psychologically and maybe even physically. But you may also experience your own power to act as never before.”
“When you take action and it is right action, the results will be palpable and immediate. Elation, relief, motivation and enthusiasm can also be yours this month as long as you stay focused on the action part.”
“Beware of blame. Notice that when you are not feeling powerful and active, there is always a tendency to blame something; lack of sleep, bad job, difficult relationship, poor diet, traumatic childhood, or even your own stupidity. Instead of blaming, take action and DO something. Do anything. And don’t be afraid to ask for help.”
“There is a saying, ‘action cures fear’. It is true.”
“…Relationships will be triggered this month. Sometimes the more intense reactions can be triggered by the people closest to you. This is because they have been involved in your patterns in a more intimate way and some of them for a very long time. Beware of old family dynamics surfacing and triggering instinctive reactions and bad behavior. Remember you can’t fix it. If it is too toxic, stay away. It is however an excellent opportunity to examine those old fears and to take action to change and release them.”
“Beware of projections, as this is very common in relationships when they are triggered. Beware also of self-deprecation and the patterns around not being enough just the way you are.”
“Because of the action theme, there may be a tendency to focus everything to the doing aspect and ignoring the power of just being. Remember to keep a good balance and not to take things personally.”
“…In terms of new opportunities, this is also a great time to look into your own intentions and evaluate if you are truly moving in the direction of your personal dream, and to do what you personally need to do in order to manifest your full potential in that dream. All of it is possible this month as long as you stay out of that reactive place. Refrain from seeing anything as a failure and look at all situations as opportunities for release, change, action and growth…”
DATES AND TIME FRAMES
September 1-7: Watch your reactions. Pick a focus during this full moon time (August 31) and keep your eye on the goal despite what is swirling and churning and happening around you. Pay attention and observe what you can control and what you cannot control. Make choices from a neutral place about what you can control and don’t worry about the rest. Let it go. This is also a good week to establish a routine for yourself of exercise or some form of physical activity. Make it fun, make it cooperative, do it with a friend or two.
Also take one aspect of your life that feels stagnant, perhaps something you said you were going to do and haven’t done yet, or somewhere you feel a lack that you have control over like your social calendar or free time, or maybe even some physical environment that can use some action like cleaning out your garage. Take action in this area, especially if you notice that when you think about this stagnant area, you have a reaction that actually keeps you from taking action. Action will create movement and will free up energy and you will feel really good about it.
Use this week to set up your container, your boundaries, what is acceptable and what is not, what is yours and what is not, what action you want to take for yourself, who you wish to be around, and any other choices that seem important to you at this time. This is about managing your power and action plan so you can be ready to throw Thor’s hammer at what you want as well as being able to dodge it if it happens to be thrown your way.
September 8-15: This time is characterized by managing triggers and turning all reactions into positive actions. Pay attention. Don’t go to sleep. Keep things moving. Stay neutral. Great things are possible during this time. Sort out your own life and not someone else’s. Be clear about what you want. Ask for help. Ask for what you want. We are headed for an energetic opportunity that holds many possibilities for change, movement, new ideas, inspiration and information. In order to take advantage of this you may be required to release something old that gets triggered and keeps you thinking small and petty.
Watch for new people in your life, new opportunities for manifesting and growth, and of course all the fears that come up around big change. If you feel overwhelmed remember to take things a step at a time and make gradual change. But do something. Don’t get stuck just because you can’t get from A-Z in one leap. It may be personally important for you to take one small task and finish it. Completion is powerful and will set up a precedent for other much larger goals and projects.
September 15: New Moon is at 8:11PM Mountain Daylight Time. This is a great time to work with the themes of the month and make a new action plan, set some new goals and then show the universe you are serious by taking one little baby action step towards something on your list. Actions speak louder than words and certainly louder than anything written. So do something to show what you have chosen and where you are headed.
September 16-21: Opportunity for action, new ideas, new inspiration, new relationship, new plans, more love, joy and prosperity on the one hand; and polarity, confusion, argumentative relationships, the need to be right, the desire for revenge, despair, futility and loss on the other. This is a time when the emotional nature of the month kicks in and could create a bit of havoc emotionally and psychologically. Rely on your physical routines, your action plan and your determination. It is very important during this time to sort out what is not yours and to not take things personally. Some will be elated at their progress and at what they are manifesting in their lives, and some will be in the depths of despair being slammed by Thor’s hammer. It is all good, and there are lessons in all of it. Never compare yourself to anyone else and make an effort to stay away from toxic people if you can. As with the previous time frame, take one small project and complete it.
September 22: Fall Equinox is at 8:49 AM Mountain Daylight Time
This is a great time to do a ritual or ceremony to honor something you are changing and releasing that comes from an old pattern from the past that still triggers and runs you. Choose something that you have been working on this month, something that has triggered you and sent you into reaction and work with it. It should also be something that you have identified as being in the way of moving forward and taking action. Ritualize it or symbolize it through writing or drawing or an object; burn, bury or destroy it, and then most importantly allow a new vision, energy and intention to fill you up. It is powerful to do something like this in a group, but at the least do it yourself.
September 22-30: The solar energy of this time is strong and masculine and triggering. More change and release is possible but also a celebration of the fullness of experience and awe at what is being manifested with the success of your version of Thor’s hammer finding its mark. Make sure to celebrate everything you have accomplished no matter how small. Keep your feet on the ground, keep moving, keep paying attention, stay awake and conscious and present and neutral.
“If you feel out of sorts, not only during this time but also at any time during the month, you may be out of sync with the earth. The earth, through the guidance and process of the sun, is changing its vibration. Whenever the sun is more active, as it is during this time, the earth goes through another growth spurt. It is a bit like a baby teething. You could get really grumpy and out of sorts with nothing seeming to work very well in your life.”
“The thing to do is to sit on the earth and reconnect the energy root from the base of your spine down into the earth (do this visually in your imagination) and just simply say hello and intend yourself to be tuned like a string on a guitar. If you do this exercise every day it will help keep you grounded.”
