“I pulled down the zipper of the thorn-laden coat of armor that shielded my soul.
I took into myself a YES,
whose hush syllabant sound swelled like a soft sea breeze,
sending it to the smarting sores of yesterday’s rejections.
“I took in Love and I was soothed in the safety of its steady, unquestioned flow.
“I took in Today–as it was happening in its perfection–
and the yesterdays fell away with the tomorrows,
like small rocks tumbling in the excitement of
an avalanche of their elders…”
“Who we become is a process of taking in what we are given,
And sending forth a reflection of how it has been received…”

Love this! Such a beautiful reminder how important it is to truly receive, this is the only way we are able to truly give. Thank you MM for being such a beautiful messenger.

I don’t want anyone to be there when that armor comes off.

inspiring, uplifting, this poem creates word pictures of sensate awarenesses — it speaks to be on a deep level. I’ve recorded it in my journal so that I can access it at a glance. I’m in my 50’s; it’s only now at this stage of the healing process that I am able to “receive” life in all its splendor — wow! Thank You!
